We’re excited to announce the appointment of Harry Georges as the new NEOS Head of Sales.

As NEOS continues to evolve, we’re doing everything we can to ensure we continue to deliver the outstanding NEOS Experience we’re known for. In addition to our reputation for exceptional service, market-leading underwriting and new business processing times, this also includes continuing to invest in the best people the industry has to offer.

Since launch, we’ve been extremely fortunate to have Charl du Plooy lead our sales function and drive our business success. We went from being the new kids on the block, to market leadership in just three years and advisers have voted us number one in BDM/sales support team of the year for the past two years in a row.

Charl has been a vital part of building a successful team and great culture at NEOS. So, it’s with great pleasure that we support his transition into a new role to lead the people and performance of our business, as we appoint him to Head of Culture and Performance.

We’re therefore excited to welcome Harry to the NEOS family. Harry started with us in June 2022 bringing a wealth of experience in the retail, group and direct life insurance markets in both Australia and Canada.

Prior to joining NEOS, Harry was Vice President – Partnerships at digital insurer, iptiQ, owned by SwissRe. Harry also worked at AMP, MLC, Royal Bank of Canada and American insurer, Unum. He’s passionate about the benefits life insurance provides to families and communities, and is keen to bring that passion to NEOS.

Harry attended Concordia University where he completed a science degree specialising in genetics. He then went on to complete an MBA at AGSM and holds his RG146 via ASIC.

Outside of work, Harry has three children, and lives in the Shire. He’s a keen surfer and golfer, and enjoys playing any contact sport. If you support the Sharks, the Waratahs or the Swans, you’ll have something in common.

We asked Harry four questions to help you get to know him better

  1. What have you enjoyed most about NEOS so far?

The people. I was told about the NEOS Experience and the efforts NEOS staff goes to help support advisers and their partners, but I found it also extends to how they treat each other. It’s a fun environment with motivated people. They have a great culture.

  1. How would you describe your team?

I am fortunate to have inherited a team of high performers that are extremely passionate about the insurance industry and the clients they serve. They don’t mind having a bit of fun too, which always creates a nice balance to the team.

  1. What are you most looking forward to in your role?

I believe the NEOS strategy will help create efficiencies inside the insurance ecosystem benefiting the customers that we all serve. I’m looking forward to working with the partnerships we’ve created across the value chain and leverage the investment we’re making in technology to deliver on our mission.

  1. What are your goals for the team?

NEOS has been built on a strong service proposition and has delivered operational excellence to the advice community. Our goal remains to help as many advisers as we can and to deliver exceptional service to their customers through our proposition.
